We are also able to determine which is the cause for your pain and perform specific pain management for your areas of concern.
A Musculoskeletal Ultrasound or as it is commonly referred to as MSK for short, is a special type of ultrasound imaging that uses high-frequency sound waves to assess joints and the supporting tissues such as cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and muscles.

When you visit Saddletown Radiology, you may be asked to change into a gown depending on the body part being examined. Our Radiology team may arrange your clothing to expose only the area requiring MSK.
Our Team will apply a warm, hypoallergenic ultrasound gel and move the Ultrasound Transducer around the area being examined with a light to moderate amount of pressure. This pressure should not cause any pain, but if you are experiencing discomfort, please let our team know!
Once enough images have been captured and our team are happy with the results, you are then free to leave. Our radiologist will review the images taken and send a detailed report to your doctor.
